Fox Sports reported Wednesday that Gruden will replace Scott Pioli as the league’s new coach.

Gruden has been a longtime NFL analyst for Fox and the NFL Network, but he has spent the last several seasons in Fox Sports 1’s NFL Network studio.

The report also said the move was contingent on a new deal.

Piolis was hired by Fox as the network’s new play-by-play announcer in 2013.

He also serves as the studio analyst for NFL Network.

Piolis has served as the NFL analyst since 2009.

Grampa will become the sixth full-time coach in the league this season.

He replaces former Steelers coach Mike Tomlin, who is currently in his third season.

Tomlin and the Steelers were eliminated from the playoffs last season after winning only five games the previous two seasons.

The NFL Network announced the hire in a statement Wednesday.

“This is a tremendous honor for me, and the network I love, to be named the NFL Head Coach of the Year, the first-ever coach to be honored,” Grampa said in the statement.

“I am excited to be joining a great team of coaches who share a passion for this game.

I have tremendous respect for the league, and I will do everything I can to make this a successful season.
